Cigarette-AMG Electric Drive Concept, super-motoscafo di grande potenza da Mercedes-Benz
Una vera e propria supercar, con la sola differenza che al posto dei pneumatici pronti ad incollarsi all’asfalto troviamo una carena altamente performante pronta a volare sulle acque.
A presentarlo è stato il reparto tecnico AMG di casa Mercedes-Benz in collaborazione con Cigarette Racing. Il nome di questo prototipo considerato come il più veloce al mondo è Cigarette-AMG Electric Drive Concept ed è spinto da un gruppo di propulsori in grado di erogare la potenza di 2.252 cavalli, con una coppia massima di 3.000 Nm.
Ciò che stupisce però è la sua velocità massima che, considerato l’impatto sull’acqua, è davvero strabiliante: ben 210 km/h raggiungibili in meno di 1 km.

Brikk, nuovo iPhone 6 Apple in oro e diamanti
Nonostante in molti si stiano preoccupando del lancio del prossimo melafonino di Apple e soprattutto della versione con display da 5,5 pollici, lo storico marchio Brikk, da anni leader nel settore dell’abbinamento tra lusso e tecnologia, ha già presentato la sua personalizzazione composta da metalli e pietre preziosi.
Da tempo ormai, Brikk occupa una fascia di mercato molto ristretta ma non per questo poco richiesta, con prodotti personalizzati venduti ad un costo di quasi 10 volte superiore al prodotto originale, ma adornati con metalli e pietre preziose e distinti da una lavorazione allo stato dell’arte.
Questo è infatti il caso dell’iPhone 6 di Brikk, per il quale anche se non si conoscono ancora caratteristiche precise e prezzo di lancio, il costo proposto è di ben 8 mila dollari, con addirittura 2 varianti a scelta: la prima con scocca totalmente in oro giallo e logo della mela impreziosito da diamanti e la seconda con scocca in oro rosa (dedicata al pubblico femminile) e sempre con il logo incastonato di diamanti.
Entrambe le versione dell’iPhone 6 by Brikk si presentano inoltre nella loro forma originale, visto che sia l’oro che i diamanti non sono aggiunti alla scocca, ma fanno da veri e propri ”sostituti di lusso” per le componenti originali.
Per i pochi fortunati già interessati all’acquisto di questa lussuosa versione dell’iPhone 6, Brikk permette già la preordinazione con pagamento anticipato sul sito ufficiale.

La sorta di ”rubrica” di cui vogliamo parlarvi oggi si chiama ”Rich kids of Instagram” ed è in poche parole la vita social riportata attraverso degli scatti dei giovani ricchi di tutto il mondo.
I ragazzi, la cui età va dai 14 ai 19 anni, condividono sul social network Instagram, sempre di proprietà di Facebook, immagini di orologi, ville, yacht e jet privati, in totale disprezzo del valore del denaro, sottolineato anche dalle didascalie ironiche che accompagnano le loro foto e che rivelano l’atteggiamento disinvolto con cui i ragazzi usano il denaro.
Tutte queste scioccanti foto sono state raccolte da un utente anonimo su un altro social, Tumblr, che ha pensato di sottotitolare il micro blog con la frase: “Hanno più soldi di te, e vivono così“.
Il micro blog ha 850 mila contatti al mese, facendo nascere una nuova moda che dal web è anche passata in libreria con un libro appena uscito negli Stati Uniti e sugli schermi della tv con due nuovi reality. Insomma, vere e proprie vetrine mediatiche dedicate al mondo del lusso.

Sundiro SY 70, special yacht of Cristian Grande for Sundiro Yacht
CHRISTIAN GRANDE APPOINTED OFFICIAL YACHT DESIGNER FOR THE SUNDIRO-SANLORENZO JOINT VENTURE
The prestigious Sanlorenzo brand and the Chinese colossal Sundiro Holding created Sundiro Yacht early in 2014, and entrusted design development for the entire gamma to the Cristian Grande Design Studio.
The Parma based Cristian Grande Studio has already created several ambients in collaboration with the Italian Sanlorenzo yard.
The first model of the Sundiro line, the SY70, was officially presented May 1st at the Hong Kong boat show. Built entirely in Italy, the SY70 was created specifically for the Chinese market. With several different possibilities in layout and décor, this yacht is ready to meet the tastes of more traditional clients in addition to those who prefer typical western styling.
Cristian Grande is already active as a leading designer in the Far East, collaborating with several firms, most recently with DFC-Wuxi Dong High Speed Craft in the production of patrol craft and commercial vessels.
SY 70 – PRIMARY FEATURES
The Sundiro SY 70 was designed by Cristian Grande, with special attention paid to overall harmony and the smallest of details. Her interior layout is designed for the Asian market, with the emphasis on friendly entertainment. The full beam entertainment room is central to this philosophy, along with a spacious galley and the belowdecks dining area. Both the main deck and flybridge, equipped with steering controls, have the same emphasis on relaxing entertainment, with guests or with friends. The main deck offers a vast dining area with a table that can host eight guests, along with a hidden TV screen and a large room to relax in, with sofas on both sides. The flybridge repeats the same scheme and offers two very useful transformable areas with sofas.
EXTERIORS
Exterior design is very straightforward, characterized by several elements that remind the observer of the close ties to Sanlorenzo while clearly declaring their own character and identity. Straightforward aesthetics and full length windows continue throughout the superstructure, giving the living area ample visibility of the sea. This is in contrast to the more discrete openings belowdecks that increase privacy for the areas dedicated to rest and intimate moments.
INTERIORS AND DÉCOR
The interiors are characterized by elegant and straightforward modern styling.
This choice was made directly by Cristian Grande who desired clean shapes with minimalist lines, highlighted by the use of sophisticated materials. The main theme of the furnishing’s décor has a very light color, with open-pore grey wood and overheads in lacquered white that give rhythm to the effect. It is all highlighted by alternating illumination between contrasting darker elements, such as some of the cabin walls and trim painted in lacquered bronze with special metallic overtones, or other metallic elements treated with nickel, giving them a special dark sheen. The resulting ambient is very refined thanks to a delicate distribution of illumination, and valorized by the masterly use of light tones. This preference for sober elegance and formal sharpness is coupled with several series of accessories and furnishings, custom designed by Cristian Grande. There are tables and lamps characterized by different chromatic variations in the “Madagascar Orange” or “Emerald Green” series.
Once again Cristian Grande has successfully completed his brief, designing a balanced yacht, elegant and at the same time flexible and customizable, while maintaining the unmistakable touch of Italian styling that made Cristian famous.
COMING SOON
The Design studio from Parma is presently designing the three cabin version of the SY70, while the second model of the range is undergoing preliminary studies.

Who is Christian Grande
Christian Grande is one of the youngest Italian designers to become part of the palmares of yacht designers. He has designed innovative vessels since 1992, courageously designing the yachts that will later become corner stones in nautical design. Presently Cristian has completed over 100 yacht designs and been presented with more than 15 international awards. He has also worked for Sacs and Sanlorenzo.
Benetti Vivace 125’, world debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2015
Benetti Vivace 125′ – second model of the Fast Displacement series – will make its debut at the next Cannes Yachting Festival (8-13 September).
Vivace 125′ joins the flagship Class Fast Displacement line, Veloce 140’, and takes inspiration from its forerunners construction technology, stylistic features, and spatial layout.
Benetti Class Vivace 125’ is a composite and carbon construction yacht built at the Viareggio boatyard; it is a 38.10 metre by 8.30 metres semi-wide body with three decks plus sun deck. Much like its bigger sister, Stefano Righini has designed the F-125′ with a sporty exterior employing generous amounts of horizontal windows to accentuate the sleek lines; its hallmark is a large central design element at the sides enclosing the upper deck stair.
The interior layout is articulated in 4 suites for 8 guests and the owner’s apartments forward on the main deck, at full beam. The captain plus a crew of 7 is available to see to all the guest’s needs.
Thanks to an exclusive agreement, Vivace 125′ is equipped with an innovative series of azipod transmissions expressly designed by Rolls-Royce for Benetti: carbon Azipull 65C pods.
The D2P_Displacement Planing® hull equipped with wave piercer was perfected by Benetti technicians for the Rolls-Royce propulsion pod by optimising all the stern tunnel thrusters and those elements impacting hydrodynamic coefficients. The result is an even greater improvement of the already enhanced propulsion efficiency of the pod drives.
The D2P® hull with wave piercer enables the new Fast Displacement series to reach higher speeds without engine strain, or to cruise in displacement mode at an economical speed with a much greater range.

Leading contemporary art gallery Mead Carney of Dover Street in Mayfair, London, is popping up in Porto Montenegro’s village once more this summer with their signature blend of conversation-starter artworks. Open from late June until mid-September the show brings together two of the gallery’s most recent exhibitions. ‘Wonderland’ is a project created over the course of five years by award winning fine art photographer Kirsty Mitchell as an homage to her late mother. Having previously worked in fashion for the likes of Alexander McQueen, Kirsty understood the constructed and filmic nature of photography so she set about re-creating her favourite scenes from the fairy tales her mother used to read to her as a child. Agua Nacida, ‘Water Born’ in Spanish, presents a truly unique collection of hauntingly beautiful large-scale nudes, shot underwater in Fiji and Gozo by the internationally acclaimed photographer Hugh Arnold.
‘Magnificent Nature’ is a collection of paintings and sculptures created by the artist Milena ZeVu, which will be exhibited in the Naval Heritage Museum in Porto Montenegro from July 9th. The collection contains works that are created in a special technique – an acrylic or cement base with thousands of manually inserted Swarovski Crystals, which Milena has been developing for years. The theme of the collection is Nature and Sea World, especially tropical fish which are unique, colourful and portrayed in a 3D manner as a combination of sculpture and painting. Two works from this collection were exhibited and auctioned in Monte Carlo at an event organized by the Foundation of Princess Stephanie of Monaco.
Furthermore, from 1st to 18th of August, Cattaro Home Gallery will present the Art of David Hamilton, a photographer and part-time film director who has published numerous photographic books, created five feature films and been the focus of countless museum and gallery exhibitions during a successful career spanning several decades. The theme of his summer exhibition will be ‘Venice’ and he will be showing some of his finest landscapes and portraits.

Zurn Yacht Design is pleased to announce the restyling of the NEB/Zurn 50, a semi-custom built vessel that combines the leading edge work of yacht designer Doug Zurn and the masterful construction techniques of New England Boatworks.
First launched in 2013 as a custom commuter boat, the NEB/Zurn 50 focuses on owner-tailored specifications, while maintaining its iconic New England design, modern marine engineering, and composite hull construction.
ALL ABOUT PERFORMANCE AND TECHNOLOGY
As a true high performance cruiser, the lightweight hull, ease of maneuvering, and the optional MAN 1,550 hp diesel engines makes the NEB/Zurn 50 one of the fastest day boats of its type, with a top speed of 60 knots. Ideal for in-port use as a cruiser, the boat is also well suited for covering long distances quickly – whether in the Mediterranean, among the islands of the Caribbean, or along the coast of Maine and farther afield.
The NEB/Zurn 50 is offered standard with twin MAN 1,200 hp diesels and Rolls Royce jet drives. It cruises comfortably at 40 knots, reaching 50 knots incorporating the latest integrated ride control technology to insure ease of maneuvering.

The hull and deck is built using high-tech, epoxy resin infused composite construction, a technique that New England Boatworks is revered for in the marine industry. Even with the open Pilot House and engine boxes in the deck, the NEB/Zurn 50 is a noticeably quiet ride with sound levels at the helm of 85 dB(A) at 40 kt cruise, thanks to the Marine Exhaust inline silencers and extensive noise and vibration treatments by Soundown.
CUSTOMIZABLE INTERIOR AND DECK LAYOUT
A tour of the boat begins in the large, teak deck cockpit, easily accessed through the transom door or over the sides that include a concealed fold-down step. Removable port and starboard cockpit day beds allow space for swimming and activities in the daytime, and later transforms into elegant seating for a sunset cruise or cocktail party.
Raised platforms in the house offer space for a desk work station, and settees or chair seating with teak table and beverage fridge – perfect for informal meetings and socializing. Large windscreens and side windows give a wide view for enjoying the scene and for safe navigation and maneuvering. The helm station provides easy, intuitive access to control panels and navigation tools from the comfortable Stidd seating.
Below deck is found a rich interior that offers both simplicity and luxury, with ease of movement throughout. Joinery is meticulously crafted, with framed panel doors, teak sole, and wood lining the hull.
The interior arrangement is built to suit the owner. Options include an L – or C-shaped galley, and twin bunk cabin or settee dinette area. The single head includes a separate hot and cold shower. The master cabin is located forward, sporting a queen-sized island-berth, cedar lined lockers, and ample storage. Marine Air air-conditioning and heating is offered throughout the interior and pilot house, as well as a sound system that also serves the cockpit.

In addition there is a two-seat sofa, vanity unit and walk in wardrobe.

Floating Life Charter&Brokerage – after the successful launches of Yacht Plus superyacht fractional ownership program in 2009, today announces the introduction of the most astute and financially sensible way of living the superyacht: a new fractional ownership program for M/Y Inspiration B a Custom Line 97.
Floating Life Charter&Brokerage provides this “third way” to experience the joys of owning a superyacht, by taking the hassle and costs out of yacht ownership and adding the service of Floating Life Owners; a powerful new equation in luxury yachting.
The concept of fractional ownership is becoming acknowledged as the logical and more astute way of owning high-end luxury products – be it yachts, property, planes, cars etc. This 2015 new fractional ownership offer is based on the relevant achievements that Floating Life had from the launches of Ocean Emerald (2009), Ocean Pearl (2010) and Ocean Sapphire (2011), the management and the chartering of the threes 41m superyacht Foster+Partner’s design.
Nothing compares to the sense of sovereignty from owning a private luxury yacht. But very soon the yacht will take control of owners’ life. Maintenance worries plague year-round. Costs easily spin out of control. Crew is hired full-time even when most owners only use their yachts for a few weeks per year. Yacht charter does not satisfy either.
One of the many benefits of fractional ownership is that it allows owners to enjoy a luxurious and prestigious lifestyle at a fraction of the cost of sole ownership while freeing up capital for other forms of asset allocation that would otherwise be invested as a sole owner.

Inspiration B has a keen, reliable and fully trained crew, including Captain, first officer, chief stewardess, chef de cuisine, and hostess (the first three members are hired; the remaining crew is seasonal though we work to guarantee the same team of professionals). In addition, Floating Life Concierge provides for all necessary bookings on your behalf. For the first time, we bring professional hospitality to the yachting space, putting service central to our offering.
Costs – Compelling Financials. The financials are compelling. Crew and maintenance costs are shared between the owners. As an owner, you benefit from 10 weeks cruising each year in the Mediterranean (and the Caribbean as optional). Alternatively, you can charter out your unused weeks through Floating Life and receive the open-market weekly rate. As a result, you can enjoy affordable access to a genuine superyacht.
No Hassle. Floating Life takes the hassle out of yacht ownership by managing, maintaining, crewing and repositioning Inspiration B on behalf of her Owners, keeping her in top condition all the time, without you having to lift a finger.
Concierge – Floating Life Lifestyle management. As a part of its commitment to providing the ultimate in hospitality and service, Floating Life team offers a personalised service available to all owners seven days a week. The Floating Life Concierge will have the responsibility of taking care of all requests ranging from bookings, private transport to and from the yachts, cuisine and wine requirements to shore excursions, medical needs and hotel accommodation if required, thereby allowing owners the freedom to simply relax and enjoy the whole experience.
Charter. Owners in fractional may charter out selected weeks (or a portion of them), and receive a share of revenue if unable to use them. Floating Life provides a world-class yacht charter service that is unparalleled, matching the right clients with stylish and luxurious yacht to provide the best solution for all.
