– 38 soft top, launched last June, now delivered in South of France
– 42 walk-around, to be delivered early August

Turkish boutique yacht designer and builder Mazu Yachts confirms two new superyacht tenders to be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show 2017 (September 27-30, 2017).

Mazu Yachts will show two new “sexy” models: 38 soft top and 42 walk-around. Both are equally perfect overnight cruisers or superyacht tenders thanks to yard’s ability in customization of style, layout and decor.

MAZU 38 SOFT TOP
All-new Mazu 11.9m/38′ soft top has been delivered to his lucky owner in Saint Tropez this July 2017.

Designed by Halit Yukay, the yacht has been sold to a European client. He desired to achieve a real “military look” able to combine latest luxury superyacht tender amenities and trendy elegance.

The owner of Mazu 38 soft top is an “Armani style enthusiast”. The yard so decided to use as many different textures of leathers and fabrics as possible – all from Foglizzo and a number of mirrors to give the maximum depth interiors perception, like in a loft condo.

Halit Yukay also designed a fantastic indoors lighting mood from the Italian supplier Cantalupi to enhance Mazu 38 dramatic feeling. New Mazu 38 soft top is so equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS 400 engines and the boat claim to reach a top speed of 34 knots.

MAZU 42 WALK-AROUND
The largest Mazu’s model to be shown, the new 42 walk-around, to be delivered early August 2017, has an overall length of 11.99 meters and a maximum beam of 3.7 meters. The center console, perfectly protected by a real modern superstructure, leaves room for two ample lateral walk-arounds. The yacht has a freeboard that is high enough to allow safety movement on deck even while at sea in combination with sportive profile with and military twist overtones.

On-deck comfort is assured by the ample sun bathing area near the stern, while forward the cockpit is complete with a V-shaped settee and a second settee forward of the  console. The size of the aft platform has allowed the yard to create a true seaside terrace, ideal not only  while  at  anchor  but  also  when  moored  to  the  jetty,  facilitating  coming  aboard and going ashore. The presence of a mobile kitchen with Gaggenau appliances ensures leisurely and pleasurable times when at anchor.

Two 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS 600 give the Mazu 42 walk-around a top speed of 47 knots, with a cruising speed of 32 knots.

BENETTI SHOWS OFF AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW
FROM  SEPTEMBER 23rd TO THE 26th, 2015
One European and two worldwide debuts for the Tuscan yard
– FB265 M/Y 11/11 twin owner’s cabin with a plumb bow that cuts through the sea – her world debut
– FB255 M/Y Formosa, five decks in 60 meters of aluminum and steel – her world debut
– BF 203 M/Y H, third unit of the Veloce 140’ Fast Displacement series  – her European debut

FB265 MY 11/11 The 63 meter mega yacht has a special design and aesthetic factor that you notice immediately: her plumb bow, which allows for an increased dynamic tendency, literally cutting through the water.
The  FB265 MY 11/11’s interiors are just as original. Her designated layout favors two spacious and comfortable owner’s cabins, one on the full beam main deck, the second on the upper deck with private access to the pool and solarium deck. The four guest cabins are on the lower deck, each with its own en-suite washroom.
Performance, with two CAT 3512C engines developing 1350kW each, gave her a top speed of 17 knots during her first preliminary sea trails.
Scenic effects and nighttime illumination are assured while at anchor with 46 lights placed below the waterline of the superyacht.

FB255 M/Y Formosa The steel and aluminum hull of the Formosa FB255 superyacht – whose exterior styling and naval architecture were done entirely by Benetti – has five decks, with 60 meters of length overall, a beam of 10.6 meters and a displacement of 1,060 GT.
The guest area’s layout and design were created by Sinot Design, in close collaboration with the owner. Five suites for ten guests are foreseen, with a complete deck given over to the owner’s apartment. 14 crew members will assist the captain and look after the owner and guests.
The Formosa FB255, propelled by twin MTU 12V4000 M53 engines that develop 1,380kW at 1.800rpm has a top speed of 16 knots, with a cruising speed of 15 knots. While economy cruising at 12 knots the FB255 has a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

BF 203 M/Y H is the third yacht of the Fast Displacement Veloce 140’ series and is characterized by a new hull design that makes the D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull even more efficient. The Wave Piercer is a bulb mounted on the bow that comes into play when the yacht reaches 17 or 18 knots. The Wave Piercer travels just below the surface at slow speed, but once the vessel reaches the proper speed the Wave Piercer emerges and increases the effective waterline length, giving the yacht better performance and efficiency. Fuel efficiency increases by about 10% at a given speed, while with the same power there is an increase of about 10%, therefore allowing higher speeds.
The BF 203 M/Y H is equipped with twin five blade propellers and twin power plants developing 2,580kW each, with a straight propeller shaft configuration.

The BF 203 M/Y’s internal layout offers four guest cabins – two with twin beds and two queen size – on the lower deck, while the owner’s apartment is forward on the main deck. On the same deck we have the main salon with bar zone and bridge, all with lateral panoramic windows for a perfect view. The dining area, with a large expandable table, is on the upper deck together with a second salon. There are two sunbathing areas: forward of the upper deck with Jacuzzi and for the complete length of the sun deck with a corner bar.

HODGDON YACHTS CUSTOM YACHT TENDER AT THE 2013 MONACO YACHT SHOW COMPLIMENTING GOOD TASTE
(Photo credits Onne Van Der Wal, Newport – RH)
Hodgdon Yacht announces to display an all new 10,5m custom tender at the last Monaco Yacht Show 2013.
Hodgdon Yachts has nearly two centuries of experience combining art and function. In collaboration with Michael Peters Yacht Design, Hodgdon is presenting a series of artful tenders designed to please not only the discriminating owner with good taste but the crew with highstandards as well. Beautifully designed, artfully styled and expertly built, these tenders are designed to maintain an aesthetic while being optimized for a particular function.
The SPORT TENDER is as fun as it is sexy, the CENTER CONSOLE TENDER hosts lots of adventure loving guests, and the unique LIMO TENDER brings chauffeured car and private aircraft standards to shuttling guests to and from.
Alone they will turn heads in any port, together they set a new fleet imperative for super yacht tenders. New designs and a new concept: that the tenders should look great and work great and do it together. Let’s face it, a tremendous sense of passion, art and design is going into commissioning a big boat. But getting to and from the big boat should be handled with a sense of grace, style and function that compliments the scale of that investment.
Carrying up to 12 guests in luxurious leather seating, the Hodgdon Limo Tender carries all of the amenities one would expect in a chauffeured motor car coach including high definition entertainment system, refreshment station and climate control.
In addition to looking spectacular, the Hodgdon LIMO TENDER is a functional work of art. The side windows power down to reveal boarding access both port and starboard. The full salon hardtop
rises hydraulically to allow full height headroom for ease of boarding and excellent 360 degree ventilation and standing visibility even while underway. For quick ingress the top features lift up hatches at the boarding gates while the hardtop is down.
This custom tender was built to the same exacting standards as a Hodgdon super yacht with custom cast hardware, fine joinery, and painstaking detail in the layout and installation of mechanical, electrical and safety systems. And the boat is a dream to handle with sports car handling at speeds over 30 knots even when loaded or confident luxury while lingering and docking.
Handling for the crew in loading and unloading is efficient and safe with robust built-in pick up points strategically located to match the mother ships gear. In all the Hodgdon LIMO TENDER is an extraordinary design, supremely executed and superbly fitted to accommodate guests in super yacht luxury.
CUSTOM MEANS CUSTOM
There are lots of opportunities to make these designs yours. Hull and Deck colors, wood trim, leather or fabric, deck treatment or a variety of custom features are “yours to choose”. Or, we start over with custom concept and create a unique and personal aesthetic. The direction is up to the clients, the expertise is Hodgdon.
ABOUT MICHAEL PETERS YACHT DESIGN
“Proof that great things come in small packages; the 10.5m Hodgdon limo tender is a refined and detailed example of what a superb builder can do on a small scale – refers Michael Peters – The client and his guests arrive at the dock in the same opulence and luxury as their yacht. Me and my team we are always happiest when the builder exceeds the designer’s vision and Hodgdon has”. Since it’s founding in 1981 as a one-man design firm specializing in high-speed boats Michael Peters Yacht Design has set the standards for style, performance and quality. The company’s philosophy is based o  Michael Peters’ fundamental belief that all design should exemplify the fusion of art and science. The intense competition of international racing demands measurable, quantifiable performance that allows no loss of focus or deviation from the goal. While it was reaceboats that first brought Michael Peters onto the international stage, these same exacting standards apply to the performance and aesthetic criteria that drive the design of every boat that bears the name of Michael Peters Yacht Design. Some firms excel at style, others performance. Michael Peters Yacht Design enjoys the unique ability to standout in both. http://www.mpyd.net
